Id like to go GSM based system so I can buy USED phones
myself and use on the system just by changing out SIM
card.

Is it true that CDMA phones MUST be programmed at
office to do this? No way to buy used CDMA phone and
just use it with existing CDMA account?

"Programmed at office"?

No. You can call up your carrier, or, depending on the carrier, go
online and perform a ESN Change. Still, not as easy as swapping out
the SIM card, but you don't necessarily have to 'go' anywhere.

OK but wont they charge for doing that?

Or is it free if done online?
